hta.Gia And Scott quit Married At First Sight in leaked footage

Married at First Sight fans are in for even more drama with Gia Fleur and Scott McCristal set to quit the experiment.

In behind-the-scenes footage obtained by Daily Mail, Gia, 35, and Scott, 33, can be seen packing their bags.

‘Good morning,’ Gia said to the camera as Scott can be seen filling a suitcase on a bed.

‘What are we doing? We’re leaving the experiment early,’ Gia added.

Gia continued: ‘We have a week to go but we can’t do it anymore. We are struggling. So, we’re packing all our stuff, and we’re going to tell them that we’re leaving this morning.’

Gia then asked her groom to explain the couple’s decision to quit the experiment ahead of time.

‘Just too much freaking pressure on mental health,’ Scott said. ‘We don’t need to be here anymore.’

Gia added that any pleas to stay in the experiment would fall on deaf ears.

‘So, we’re leaving and they’re going to try and convince us this morning, but that’s okay, we’re not going to stay,’ she said.

‘We can’t anymore for our mental health, I can’t do it anymore, to be honest, I’ve been breaking down. It’s been too much.

‘We’ve been here so long and the pressure is starting to ruin our relationship, because they are pushing us so hard, so we are going today.’

While both appeared united in their decision to quit in the clip, leaked texts between the pair, obtained by Daily Mail, tell another story.

The text exchange shows Scott pleading with Gia to remain in the experiment with: ‘I want us to get through this together.’

Gia replied by recounting to Scott the emotional toll the series had taken on her.

'We have a week to go but we can't do it anymore. We are struggling. So, we're packing all our stuff, and we're going to tell them that we're leaving this morning,' she said in the clip

‘I am having recurring panic attacks, I’m mentally drained, physically exhausted and a shell of the person I was,’ Gia wrote.

‘I wish you cared more about me and wanted to protect me and leave with me without having to beg.’

She added: ‘If you came here for love and we found it, why are you not leaving with me?’

After pleading again for Gia to talk about the issue face to face, he argued that he had been protecting Gia for the duration of the experiment.

‘I have been protecting you the whole time,’ he wrote. ‘I just wanted to sit the last couple of days out with you, but if we can’t, I understand.’

Gia then snapped back: ‘Is me breaking down with panic attacks not enough for you?

‘It isn’t as hard for YOU as it is for ME. As my partner who agreed with me last night, all this shows is that you’ve been manipulated, or you never cared about me, only the show.’

The shock footage comes after Gia unleashed a fiery behind-the-scenes rant in a rogue diary cam after Monday night’s explosive Feedback Week episode.

The outspoken bride accused producers of pushing contestants to create drama and claimed the experiment had become more about chaos than genuine relationships.

‘I’m losing my mind. This experiment is like Drama At First Sight. It’s not Married At First Sight,’ Gia said in the candid video exclusively obtained by Daily Mail.

‘It’s not find someone for you. And I feel like I came here for that. And I feel like I found that with Scott.

‘It’s just a constant, what can we do to break our vibe?’

It’s not the first time that Gia has threatened to walk away from the experiment, either.

She packed her bags and stormed off, in an episode aired earlier this month, after she discovered photos of Scott’s ex on his phone.

More recently, Monday’s episode saw the bride almost walk away after refusing to take part in the Partner Swap challenge for Feedback Week.

While the timeframe for Scott and Gia’s exit remains unclear, it’s pretty much a given that they will not make it to Final Vows.
