hta.Stacey Solomon explains missing wedding ring amid Joe Swash marriage issues

Stacey Solomon set the record straight on her marriage to Joe Swash on Wednesday’s episode of This Morning after being spotted without a wedding ring.

The former X Factor star, 34, appeared on the latest installment of the ITV show to chat to presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about her upcoming stint on Saturday night’s Britain’s Got Talent.

Stacey – who has been married to EastEnders star Joe since 2022 – stepped in for head judge Simon Cowell after a fall.

After the mum of five opened up about her time on the panel, Ben brought up how she has recently been seen without her wedding ring.

Ben said: ‘There are these crazy rumours going on about the two of you at the moment… What’s going on there, Stace?’

Stacey replied: ‘What are they? Go on. There’s a new rumour each week!’

Ben explained: ‘You’ve not been wearing your ring. There might be some issues going on?’

‘Do you know what, I am terrible. I don’t read any of that stuff.

‘In fact, does anyone anymore?’ Stacey asked.

‘But yeah, we just… Have I not been wearing my ring? Probably took it off to go to the toilet, or something.’

Ben went on to say: ‘There is a lot going on at the moment, because of his lake, the plan for the lake is coming to fruition.

‘He was talking to us the other day…’

Stacey joked: ‘Maybe I dropped my ring in the lake… with our marriage!’

The couple first met back in 2010 on the set of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

But Stacey and Joe didn’t start dating until 2016 and moved in together two years later.

They got engaged in 2020 and tied the knot two years later in 2022.

Stacey and Joe are proud parents to Rex, six, Rose, four, and Belle, two.

Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, are also from previous relationships that Stacey had.

Joe is also dad to Harry, who is from a previous relationship.

The first time fans began to speculate that the couple could be on the rocks came when they were seen arguing on the most recent series of their show Stacey & Joe.

The pair clashed as dad Joe unexplainably ‘disappeared’ for the day in one episode, and Stacey also hung up on Joe after he branded her ‘out of order’ and slammed her for ‘overreacting’ in a heated parenting row.

But the two admitted that they didn’t want to cut the argument like other couples would be tempted to do.

Joe previously said: ‘So many people represent their lives as being so perfect on Instagram. It’s our responsibility to show the real – the highs and the lows.

‘It’s not all a bed of roses. Sometimes we argue.’

While Stacey added: ‘What you see is what you get. What we’ve learnt about each other is that we’re not a perfect couple.

‘We’ve never said we’re a perfect couple, but you get to watch yourself back, which is something that doesn’t happen often.’

Saturday’s episode of Britain’s Got Talent will see Stacey join the star-studded panel.

In an exclusive first look at the installment that will be on our screens this weekend, Stacey can’t contain her excitement as she watches a male dance group show off their moves.

The dancer at the front also continuously sticks out his tongue while dancing and fellow judge Alesha Dixon fans Stacey as she watches on.

Stacey tells them: ‘I thoroughly enjoyed it.’

She then asks the man who stuck his tongue out: ‘What is your name sir?’ and he replies: ‘Antonio.’

Stacey continues: ‘This is just personal preference. You kept poking your tongue out, I don’t know if you are aware!?’

The star then shows him an example of what he was doing and stuck her tongue out.

‘Lots of this,’ Stacey tells him.

He asks her: ‘So much?!’ Stacey replies: ‘A little bit too much.’

Speaking about her upcoming stint on the programme, Stacey said: ‘I loved it.

‘Do you know what’s really funny about having that full circle moment, I could connect with the people on the stage, because it’s not easy to put yourself forward in those situations.

‘Two, I realised what it’s like to present a show where you’re not digging through people’s houses, and you get to dress up, wear a nice dress and sit in a chair all day!

‘I was like “wow this is a great job!” This is what presenting is all about, isn’t it? You get to sit there, get your makeup done.

‘No it was lovely, it was a lot of fun. I felt really privileged because I’ve been in that position before.

‘My whole career is thanks to the X Factor, and a show like Britain’s Got Talent, where someone gave me the opportunity, gave me the chance to put myself out there.

‘These shows are really close to my heart and to see other people coming up through those talent shows, even just enjoying the experience, whether it turns into something or not, it felt really special to be a part of.’

Ben pointed out that she was incredible on the X Factor, but she doesn’t perform anymore.

Stacey confessed: ‘It’s not that I don’t, I just find it scary, I find it really scary.

‘Every night, did you ever come down? Did you see us when before the performances, everyone was so excited, everyone was like “Yeah, can’t wait!” warming up in the corridors.

‘I was like my mouth was drying, I was profusely sweating, I found the whole experience, incredible, but so nerve-wracking.

‘So when we went on to do the tour, I thought this is where I learn to let go of the nerves, get over it and start enjoying the performance. I never did.

‘Every time I go out there, I’d just be so, every performance, I’d be so nervous.’

It comes after last Saturday’s episode of BGT was cancelled.

The long-running competition show – in its 19th series – had aired three weeks of auditions so far.

However, viewers had to wait for a bit longer before watching the next episode.

The programme was removed from screens so Six Nations live rugby coverage could air instead, with France taking on the England team.
