Steinfort revealed the pregnancy to his Today co-hosts on Monday morning, describing it as an exciting moment for his family.
“I’m excited to share that my beautiful wife Claudia is expecting as well, we’ve got baby number three on the way. Very exciting,” he said.
The announcement was made with the kind of warmth that suggested this is a milestone Steinfort and Jukic are embracing with both excitement and a little familiarity, having already navigated parenthood twice.
The couple are parents to daughters Frederikke, four, and Lotte, one.
This time, however, they have chosen to keep one important detail a surprise.
The couple are choosing not to find out the baby’s sex
Steinfort revealed that he and Jukic do not know whether they are expecting a boy or a girl.
It is a tradition they have kept throughout their journey as parents.
“We didn’t find out the sex with the first two so we said let’s just fly blind and see what happens,” Steinfort explained.

The timing of Steinfort’s announcement is particularly striking.

Jeffreys announced in August that she and Peter Stefanovic are expecting a baby girl. The couple are already parents to sons Oscar and Henry.

From a chance meeting to a growing family

The couple were introduced by mutual friends in 2018, and despite Steinfort initially being called away for work, they eventually went for drinks in Sydney and quickly hit it off.
Later that year, Steinfort proposed to Jukic while they were holidaying in Croatia with friends.
Croatia would go on to become an important part of their story.
A wedding in Hvar
Steinfort and Jukic married in August 2019 in Hvar, Croatia, in a ceremony surrounded by family and friends.
The wedding took place at St Stephen’s Cathedral, with the reception held at the historic Hvar Fortress.
The location carried extra meaning because it was also where Steinfort had proposed the previous year.

Since then, their family has grown twice — first with the arrival of Frederikke, followed by Lotte.
Now they are preparing to begin another chapter.

Sarah Abo recently confirmed her departure from Nine after welcoming her first child, while Tom Steinfort and Sylvia Jeffreys have been named as the program’s new hosting team.
