‘Unexpected move’: Jackie ‘O’ Henderson takes surprising step with close friend Brooklyn Ross!
Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has taken aim at her ex-KIIS FM colleague Brooklyn Ross amid her ongoing legal battle with her former employer Australian Radio Network (ARN).
The 51-year-old radio star worked closely with the newsreader, 38, for more than 11 years during her tenure on The Kyle and Jackie O Show alongside former co-host Kyle Sandilands, 55.
However, it seems relations between the two have soured after Henderson name-dropped Ross in court documents, accusing him and other ARN employees of failing to “intervene” during her on-air fight with Sandilands on February 20.
The defence further alleges that multiple other ARN workers reached out to Henderson after she left the studio in the wake of her clash with the radio shock jock.
However, Henderson and her lawyers have now filed a response to ARN’s amended defence, with the radio star challenging the notion that Ross ever tried to stop Sandilands from “bullying” her during their infamous final broadcast together.
“As to paragraph 28(b)(v) of the Defence, the Applicants deny that Brooklyn Ross, ARN employee, or any other staff member present, attempted to or did successfully intervene in Mr Sandilands’ bullying and other unwanted conduct towards Ms Henderson on 20 February 2026,” the response read, according to the Daily Mail.
Despite Henderson’s insistence that Ross failed to intervene, recordings of her final episode with Sandilands seemingly reveal that he did, in fact, try to mediate between the radio duo on the day of the fight.
On February 20, when the radio shock jock took aim at Henderson’s interest in astrology and dubbed her “almost unworkable” because of it, Ross told Sandilands: “It’s not that bad, Kyle.”
As the argument worsened, Ross could be heard saying: “I think there is a middle ground between the two of you.”
Elsewhere, when Sandilands claimed that “everyone” at the radio station had been complaining about Henderson’s work ethic, Ross interjected again, saying: “Kyle, hang on, it’s hard to say that someone…” before he was cut off by the shock jock.
Henderson’s mention of her longtime colleague in the legal proceedings points to a possible rift between the two.
However, it was only last month that Ross touched on his good relations with Henderson, revealing on The Kylecast – a new series part of Kyle Sandilands Live’s offerings – that he had called her to ask what she thought about him leaving KIIS FM to join forces with her former co-host.
“It was tough… just because I didn’t know what her reaction [would be], and she is such a great friend of mine and we’re so close,” he told host Bella Frizza.
“But she came back and said she’s supportive of my career, and if that was where I thought was the best option, she could see why… she said, you know, ‘Go for it.’”
Both Sandilands and Henderson filed separate lawsuits against their former employer for wrongful termination of their $200 million contract.
However, Sandilands reached a $12 million legal settlement with ARN in June.
Earlier this year, The Kyle and Jackie O Show was axed by ARN after the co-hosts had an explosive on-air fallout on February 20 and Sandilands was sacked over a “breach of contract”.
Henderson was left in tears during the broadcast after Sandilands accused her of letting her interest in astrology affect her work ethic.
“It’s affecting other things, like your fixation on this has made you almost unworkable. You’re off with the fairies with this s***. It’s mental,” Sandilands raged.

Sandilands claimed that “everyone in the building” had complained about her for “not doing the rest of the job”.
“I would never say things like that about you,” Henderson hit back at Sandilands.
“It’s a total attack, it really is … to say, ‘You don’t know what the F is going on, you’re not doing your job’, that’s an attack and I wouldn’t do that.”
