Farmer Wants a Wife finale: Dylan finds true love while blindsided Jarrad is spectacularly dumped
Farmer Wants a Wife came to a spectacular ending on Sunday night.
One farmer got a shot at lasting love, while the other was dumped before he managed to utter a full sentence.
Farmer Jarrad was choosing between Brodie and Yvonne, but the latter got wind of the fact that she was not his final pick.
Yvonne strode up to meet the South Australian almond farmer and refused to be dumped, beating the 41-year-old to the punch.
‘I need to say something before you make your decision,’ the defiant 31-year-old case manager from Victoria began.
‘I have been vulnerable and open and honest, more than I thought that I would be. But I don’t feel like you even met me halfway,’ she continued.
‘I feel like I’ve been begging for answers that I never got.
‘Going to the home visits, I had the feedback from my friends and family, and their feedback has solidified the way that I felt.’
Yvonne then gave the farmer her blessing to pursue her rival, Brodie.
‘Brodie is an amazing woman, and I maybe didn’t see the connection you guys had throughout this process,’ she said.
‘I do still want to find my love, but I’m so sorry, you are not my farmer.’
Jarrad was stunned, later admitting he was ‘blindsided’ by being dumped at the last minute.
But it did not quell his feelings for Brodie, who he declared his love to later in the episode.
He gifted the 33-year-old primary school teacher from New South Wales a gold bracelet with a sapphire, her birthstone, and said he was looking forward to their future together.
Farmer Dylan also made his final choice, picking Ally, 23, over Scarlett, 22.
The South Australian sheep farmer and the chocolate shop assistant have had a rocky road to romance after Ally fled the farm, unsure of her feelings.
But she made a dramatic return during the black tie dinner party, with Dylan admitting he cannot resist her.
Dylan, 24, let Scarlett down easily, saying that he did not feel her upper crust city girl lifestyle suited him.
While she took the rejection in her stride, the polo player said that Dylan would live to regret letting her go.
Dylan’s mind was entirely on Ally, however, and the pair strode off into the sunset together after the farmer confessed he had fallen ‘heaps’ in love with her.
