“A TERRIFYING MEDICAL NIGHTMARE!”: Highly controversial radio host Kyle Sandilands ignites a massive media firestorm and leaves millions of fans completely paralyzed with shock after bravely dropping a shattering, tear-jerking health update ruthlessly exposing the deeply terrifying, untold reality behind his devastating and highly grueling brain surgery nightmare
“Imagine looking like Frankenstein”: Kyle Sandilands’ fears over invasive brain surgery
Kyle Sandilands has shared a sobering update on his health after he was diagnosed with a brain and chest aneurysm.
The shock jock first revealed his diagnosis in February 2025, explaining that he needed urgent surgery at the time, and now, he has issued an emotional update.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia’s podcast, The Debrief, Kyle explained that doctors are having difficulty operating on his brain aneurysm due to its placement.
“They can’t really operate on the one on the head because it’s attached to multiple blood vessels,” he shared.
“So the normal thing they can do with keyhole, they can’t do it. It’s behind my right eye. So they said they would have to cut all the way down this side like a massive scar.”
He explained that it is an incredibly invasive surgery, so he’s decided to wait to have the procedure to see if the aneurysm grows first.
“I’m already dealing with this,” he joked of his body. “So imagine [looking like] Frankenstein as well.”
Kyle also has another aneurysm in his chest that is currently being closely monitored by doctors for growth.
A brain aneurysm is a bulge in a brain artery, and if it leaks or bursts, it can be life-threatening. It is caused by a weak spot in the artery wall.
According to Health Direct, two in 100 people have a brain aneurysm, and many do not realise they have one. It said there are usually no symptoms, but sometimes include headaches and vision changes if it becomes very large.

Speaking about his health struggle, Kyle also shared that he and his wife, Tegan Kynaston, decided not to have any more children after their son, Otto, due to his health.
“We have talked about it, but then we realised that you don’t just get another dog because the dog you’ve got is lonely,” he recently told New Idea.
“Tegan is looking and feeling fabulous, and I don’t want to be 70 when another kid is a teenager, so we’ve decided that we’re very happy as a family of three.”
Six months ago, Kyle told the Daily Telegraph that his aneurysms had not grown.
“It’s good because when they first found it, they weren’t sure whether I had it for 30 years or 30 days,” he explained.
At the time, he mentioned that the one in his chest wasn’t operable yet, due to its size.
“It’s not small, and smaller ones than the one that I’ve got have bled out and had problems, but it’s not really the s*
How did Kyle Sandilands know he had a brain aneurysm?
Before he shared his health news publicly, Kyle had been suffering from debilitating headaches, with doctors telling him the condition required “immediate attention”.
While on-air, he showed radio staff his brain scan, adding: “If that bursts, I die instantly.”
“My wife, every time I look at her, her eyes well up with tears,” he revealed last year, referring to his partner Tegan Kynaston, with whom he shares a young son, Otto. “She is already counting down the days.”
Kyle went on to admit that, “The facts are, a life of cocaine abuse and partying is not the way to go.”
Looking back on it all, he said he needed to change his ways.
“But I had to stop carrying on,” he told the Daily Telegraph. “You know, with all the partying.
“I had to start sleeping properly because I obviously thrashed myself over the years, but it’s good now because I’ve found other things.”

What else has Kyle Sandilands said about his health?
In July 2025, he also shared more insight into his other health issues, opening up about his weight gain on his now-defunct radio program, The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
“I’m 138, I thought I was massive. I’ve been a bit… I don’t know whether “depressed” is the word? Ever since this aneurysm thing came up a year ago,” he explained at the time.
“I brushed it off inside. My wife is on me about it, asking if I would like to come for a walk with her and Otto. I would like to, but just too fat and lazy to go!” he admitted.
The star went on to talk about his inability to give up junk food, saying, “I also use an opportunity to eat a packet of chicken and biscuits! I know I’m doing myself in.”
He then told listeners that he was closely monitoring the situation.
“If I’m good, then I will put together a club, ‘Kyle’s Big Fatso Club’, where I want others to join me in my slow march to healthiness. Who is with me?” he joked.
