For months, Samantha Armytage has been remarkably careful about what she reveals about her personal life.

The romance rumour Samantha was quick to dismiss
Samantha recently found herself at the centre of speculation after appearing alongside Barry “Bear” Myrden, the leading man of The Golden Bachelor Australia, which she hosts.
The pair were also seen together at the Logies, prompting questions about whether their connection might extend beyond the television series.
Samantha, however, was quick to put that particular speculation to rest.
Laughing off the idea, she told 9Entertainment: “He does not find love with me.” She has also described Bear as a friend, making it clear that their connection should not be mistaken for a romance.
For Samantha, it was a simple distinction: she is there to host the show, while Bear is there to find love among the contestants.
But while she was happy to dismiss that rumour, Samantha has been far more private when it comes to the bigger question of her own love life.
A marriage that quietly came to an end
Samantha and Richard Lavender confirmed their separation in late 2024 after almost four years of marriage.
At the time, Samantha described the split as amicable and asked for privacy.
Months later, she gave a rare glimpse into the decision, telling Stellar: “We gave it a go. It didn’t work out, so we moved on.”
She also acknowledged that walking away from a marriage was not something she had decided overnight.
“I don’t think anybody leaves a marriage without thinking it through quite deeply,” she said.
Those comments revealed a woman who had already made peace with the past — even if the process of getting there had not been easy.

At the 2026 Logies, Samantha was asked about her own love life while discussing her return to The Golden Bachelor.
Her answer was brief.
“There’s lots of love around me.”

Perhaps the most telling part of Samantha’s recent comments was not the mystery surrounding her love life, but how she described her life as a whole.
Approaching her 50th birthday, she said she felt she was “really hitting my straps”, with new opportunities ahead.
“I’m in a really happy place,” she said, adding that she was “really loving life at the moment.”
There is something quietly significant about that.
The story is no longer simply about the end of Samantha’s marriage, or whether there is another person waiting somewhere in the background.
