For most of the 2026 season of Married at First Sight Australia, Gia and Scott were the dominating couple.
Gia, a 35-year-old disability support worker from Victoria, is one of the most outspoken brides in the cast.
In her most controversial moment, she teamed up with Brook to take down both Stella and Alissa at the dinner party — and it was excruciating viewing.
From the second she entered the hens’ party, it was clear she wasn’t here to make friends, but this single mother was here to meet her match.
The man in question? Scott, a 33-year-old business owner from Queensland, who manages multiple ventures, including a jet ski company and car sales.
These two had an instant spark upon meeting at the altar, got sexy on their Townsville honeymoon and soon self-appointed themselves as the experiment’s ‘power couple’.
But as the experiment progressed, things took a sharp and messy turn into chaos. The fallout has been so severe that Gia seemingly reached her limit and walked out of the experiment, leaving the future of the once-smitten pair hanging by a thread.

Scott is no stranger to drama either — he has previously appeared on reality shows like Blind Date, Holey Moley and Million Dollar Island.
He entered the experiment seeking a partner who could keep up with his high-energy lifestyle.
Gia and Scott’s wedding was held at Maroubra Beach and despite the rocky lead-up where Gia clashed with her friends, they turned out to be one of the more successful matches.
Their wedding hinged on Gia telling Scott that she had a daughter, which was something she wanted to reveal to Scott in a quiet moment. But the plan was derailed during the reception when Gia’s uncle accidentally dropped that she was a mother to Scott’s family. Oopsie.
Realising the secret was out, a panicked Gia pulled Scott aside to share the news herself. He reassured her that having a child was not a dealbreaker and said he was happy to embrace a potential stepdad role.
The couple continued to grow closer on their honeymoon, where they got intimate for the first time, and it doesn’t sound like they stopped. Gia teased at the first dinner party that they were extremely sexually active.
But as the experiment progressed, the power couple facade began to crumble under the weight of some serious baggage.
The first major blow to their relationship came during a scandalous discovery: Scott was found to have kept photos of his ex-partner on his phone. This revelation shattered Gia’s confidence in their connection, leading to a massive rift that the couple struggled to repair.
The drama reached a fever pitch during the high-stakes ‘Alternative Matches’ challenge. As the pair met other participants, Gia was seen openly flirting with another groom, a move that was in direct contradiction to Scott’s decision not engage with the challenge at all. The emotional fallout was devastating for Scott, who was left in floods of tears as he watched his wife connect with someone else.

It’s safe to say, despite how strong they started out, Scott and Gia are no longer together in real life.
Defying show protocols, Gia has confirmed her new relationship with Alan Wallace, an ex-reality TV star and Love Triangle contestant.
“I can’t keep pretending I’m with Scott when I’m so in love with Alan,” told Daily Mail.
Scott, too, has shared his own perspective on the collapse of their relationship, firmly placing the blame for the split on Gia.
“When I go in I give them my world. I would sit where she was getting her makeup done and sit there until she was finished. I would take her away every weekend. I never let her pay for a cent. I would nurture her,” Scott said on MAFS: After The Dinner Party.
“And she would just go off at me for nothing and I would say okay. I just copped so much s***. And I just tried so hard to make it work because I can see the good in everyone. No matter how bad she could be, I just tried.”
Even when Mamamia interviewed Gia, it really, really, really didn’t sound like they were together.
In fact, Gia told us that Scott was not on MAFS for the right reasons, which, given the most recent episode, makes sense. “I do believe he was just going along with the flow just to stay on the show. 100 per cent. And hopefully, that plays out and people can see it.”
Regarding the reports that Scott was technically still married when he got TV hitched, Gia said the news came as a surprise to her. “It was never brought up with him and I. So yeah, I’ve just recently discovered that.”
Overall, Gia doesn’t believe Scott was a good match for her. “Honestly, when I watched the wedding episode where I saw his backstory, I actually said to my girlfriends, ‘If I had seen this video of this man, I would never have married him’,” she recalled.
“Generally, what I asked for wasn’t who he was. He was super healthy, into work and fitness and doing crazy stuff… I wanted someone a bit more stable. Someone who felt like home,” she continued.
“I just wanted someone to make me feel special and loved and seen — someone I could have a burger with. And Scott doesn’t like any of that.”
She said their lifestyles weren’t compatible. “I’m like, ‘Oh, let’s get milkshakes and burgers!’ He’s like, ‘Oh, do you know how many calories are in that?’… that’s just not fun. My daughter wants to do stuff like that all the time.
“Come on, let’s get a pizza. What are we doing? I don’t want to have chicken and rice all day.”

A source previously told Chattr that despite the couple staying together for most of the experiment, Scott only stayed on the show to get more airtime.
“He only talks to one person from the show now, and at the last Dinner Party, he said he was too good for everyone and that they’re beneath him,” the source claimed.
In fact, the source added that Scott wasn’t so nice to Gia. “He said to his wife on camera that she wasn’t his calibre.”
The same source reckons that viewers might not see this side of Scott because this “producer puppet” will receive a good edit.
“He does a lot wrong, but he gets away with everything and gets a great edit,” the same insider claims. “He was a production kiss ass, buying them coffee and doing so much.”

At one point, Gia leaned in close, gesturing animatedly as she spoke, while Alan appeared engaged in conversation – the chemistry between them clear to see.
The sighting comes after Gia publicly confirmed her secret romance with Alan and made a bombshell admission about her relationship with Scott.
‘I can’t keep pretending I’m with Scott,’ she said.
‘There’s only so long you can fake something before it starts to eat away at you.’
She added that her connection with Alan developed naturally after filming wrapped, describing it as a fresh start following a difficult end to her on-screen marriage.
‘I didn’t go into this looking for anything,’ she explained.
‘But sometimes the right person comes along when you least expect it.’
While Gia stopped short of putting an exact timeline on their romance, sources close to the couple have claimed the pair grew close shortly after the experiment ended.
